New Sapphira Website Sapphira has a new website at  http://www.aolhamilton.com/david/webdesign1-ex3 . The new site prototype was guided by the client's own  business goals and a website purpose statement and a site plan that was created by me earlier in the site's planning stages.The text and images that were provided by the client have been used in the site with the addition of some stock photography that better represents some of the key Spa and Salon services. The Sapphira website uses  colors from the mood board. I have incorporated the new Sapphira logo and the color scheme from the mood board into the HTML layout and populated the site with the appropriate images and graphics that directly relate to the text content and all of Sapphira services. New Sapphira Website Mood Board and Colors The next step after the website wireframes was to create a Mood Board for the Sapphira Website to display a pleasing color pallet for the site as well as the general look and feel for a typical Sapphira web page. Sapphira mood board suggests the color scheme, look and feel of  the website The suggested analogous color scheme of muted olive greens and blues is “relaxing, energizing and luxurious”, as well as “soothing to the mind and soul”. These colors also combine well with white and gray. This color scheme also reflects the Purpose Statement and the spa environment we are trying to represent for Sapphira. The color combination has a Mediterranean flavor from a region which is famous for some of the “best spas in the world”. From a psychological standpoint, green is soothing, relaxing, and it alleviates depression. Green also symbolizes fertility, nature, youth, vigor, harmony, stability, freshness, health, vitality, and life....

Grand unveiling of a new logo for Sapphira As you can see in the before and after images of the Sapphira logo, I have updated the Sapphira Logo to incorporate an attractive sapphire graphic to replace the redundant and insignificant, double diagonals “//”, which separate the words Salon and Spa underneath Sapphira. The logic behind the inclusion of the sapphire graphic in the Sapphira logo is easy to understand when you consider that in Hebrew the meaning of the name Sapphira refers to the sapphire gemstone and simply means precious or beautiful. Although it's not a light or pastel blue, it still has something of a fresh, spring-like quality with a touch of childlike playfulness.
